A Nurse at the Dialysis Unit of the Tamale Teaching Hospital, Yahaya Wanzam Adam, says 25 people report daily to the facility with kidney-related diseases.
The hospital currently has 58 patients between 12 and 85 years who are on dialysis for life.
Mr. Adam said kidney cases are becoming overwhelming and advised the public to desist from lifestyles that put their kidney at risk.
Mr. Adam said diabetes and high blood pressure are some of the major causes of chronic kidney disease and urged Ghanaians to pay serious attention to what they eat.
