Vice President of the Kwame Nkrumah KNUST SRC, Morris Effah, has advised students to adhere to the directive given by the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council to vacate the Campus by Saturday, September 18, 2021.
According to the Security Council, it had picked up intelligence that some groups of unruly students were planning some disturbances on campus on the eve of vacation, hence the directive.
Mr. Effah however denied knowledge of any such plans by students which would lead to disturbances as alluded to by the Ashanti Regional Security Council.
He, however, expressed support for the directive.
“I cannot substantiate what the REGSEC is saying about the planned disturbances because they say it is from Intel that they picked up and acted upon it. And if it is to bring about peace and serenity then I think it is the right way to go but I cannot confirm that Intel,” according to Morris Effah.
