The Chairman for the Public Interest and Accountability Committee, PIAC, Professor Kwame Adom- Frimpong, says per their mandate, the committee will continue to exercise oversight responsibility for the management and use of the country’s petroleum revenues for sustainable development.
He was addressing journalists on the sidelines of a PIAC Forum on ten years of the Management and use of Petroleum Revenues for the western and central regions.
Professor Frimpong explained the importance of such forums which provide space and platform for the public to debate whether spending prospects and management as well as use of the revenues conform to development priorities under section 21 clause 3 of the Petroleum Revenue Act
