Another kidnapping incident has been reported in Sekondi-Takoradi in the Western Region.

3 suspects have been arrested by the Western Region Police Command. They are alleged to have kidnapped a 17-year-old girl of Adiembra Senior Secondary School, between Kweikuma and Baka Akyir, both suburbs of Sekondi Takoradi.

Sources indicate that one of the culprits, a 26-year old lady, had been communicating with the victim claiming she had just returned from the United Kingdom and went ahead to invite the 17-year-old girl to meet with her.

As they met, the parents of the victim were signalled that their daughter was being kidnapped so they accosted the 3 suspected kidnappers at an area within Adiembra close to Nana Kobina Gyan 11 School.

The Assemblyman of the area with the assistance of some residents kept the culprits locked up, whilst the irate residents of Adiembra demanded the head of the culprits, but for the quick intervention of the Police, the crowd would have lynched the suspects.

According to reports, the Police had a hectic time conveying the 3 suspects to the Police Station, as they were accosted by the irate crowd.
