Seven envoys accredited to Ghana have presented their Letters of Credence to President Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House. They are Shlomit Sufa of Israel, Mrs. Anette Chao Garcia of Cuba, Egyptian Ambassador, Aldesouky Mahmoud Youssef and Mauricio Mauro Epkua Obama Bindang of Equatorial Guinea. The rest are, Mochizuki Hisanobu of Japan, Ambassador of Greece to Nigeria with concurrent accreditation to Ghana, Ioannis Plotas and the Bulgarian Ambassador, Yanko Vasilev.
President Akufo-Addo urged the Envoys to solidify the relationship between Ghana and their countries.
Bright Ntramah reports that this is the first outdoor assignment of President Akufo-Addo after returning to work following his one week leave.
The first to present her Credentials was the Isreali Ambassador to Ghana, Shlomit Sufa.
Ghana and Israel have had a long-standing relationship, with Ghana being the first country in Sub-Saharan Africa to recognise the State of Israel. Madam Sufa was grateful to Ghana for supporting its campaign to join the AU as a Non-permanent Member. She was happy to partner with the Government for the First Digital Innovation Week.
”We have very close relations. The Bilateral Affairs and we are very happy and proud to have concluded the second ground of political considerations………..between our two countries where we were able to identify many action elements for …..doors of the bilateral and multilateral awareness and this is the perfect time-to acknowledge and be grateful to Ghana for its support to Israel throughout our campaign within the African Union”, she stated.
President Akufo-Addo expressed the appreciation of Ghana to Israel in the areas of Agriculture, ICT, Health and Security.
”The very positive development between Ghana, …..coming to a country and we appreciate it very much the contribution of Israel to our development in so many areas in our national lives and precautions, health, education, especially recently in Agriculture the effort you are making to get us to get the benefits of the great agriculture revolutions to be held in Israel to make Israel famous for its development,….. and productive and produce lessons that are very worthwhile to our involvement”, President Akufo Addo noted.
The Cuban Ambassador to Ghana was next to present his Credentials. He was hopeful that his duty tour to Ghana will help to elevate the relationship between the two countries a notch higher.
President Akufo-Addo was hopeful that the solidarity between the two countries will grow stronger.
The Egyptian Ambassador to Ghana, Aldesouky Mahmoud Youssef, promised to do his best to raise the level of ties between the two countries.
The Ambassadors of Equatorial Guinea, Japan, Greece, and Bulgaria also presented their Letters of Credence.
