The Minority and Majority sides in Parliament are holding separate Caucus meetings over the 2022 Budget Statement that was unresolved by the House last Friday. Our Parliamentary Correspondent, Bubu Klinogo said the two sides are the issue .

Majority MPs walked out of Parliament on Friday after the conclusion of the debate on the Budget, the Minority MPs however stayed on in the Chamber and voted unanimously to reject the Budget. The Majority, however, described the rejection as unconstitutional, arguing that the 137 Minority MPs did not meet the minimum requirement of “at least half of all members of Parliament” which must be present before a decision is taken.

The Minority however dismissed the claim of unconstitutionality.
