34 conflict spots have been identified in the Upper East Region. Out of the number, 19 are land disputes, 7 chieftaincy disputes, 6 farmer-herder conflicts and the remaining two are about religious and mining disputes.
This came to light at a stakeholder engagement on STAR Ghana Foundation’s 2nd Phase of the Conflict, Security and Stability Fund, Northern Ghana project in Fumbisi, capital of the Builsa South District of the Upper East Region.
