The Dean of Students at the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ), Mrs. Rhodalene Amartey, has been named ”Dean of the Year”, at the 7th Edition of the National Students Awards, Ghana.
The Awards Committee of the National Students Awards, Ghana nominated Madam Rhodalene Amartey for her dedication to the development of students at GIJ.
Mrs. Rhodalene Amartey has worked at the Ghana Institute of Journalism for more than a decade as a Senior Lecturer.
She previously served as the Faculty of Public Relations and Advertising’s Acting Dean.
The Students Representative Council of the Institute GIJSRC in a citation thanked her for making them proud of the Institution, as they see her as a role model.
“Thank you for making us proud and you are a shining role model to us all” the statement said.
The National Students Awards are an annual celebration of the outstanding work that students, Associations, Corporations, and individuals have accomplished across the country.
It is organized by the Network of Scholars in Africa (NSA) – Ghana, a non-profit organization that was incorporated on January 30, 2015 and registered with the Ghanaian Registrar General’s Department under the Companies Act 1963. (ACT 179).
