Christian Council of Ghana has commended Parliament for the apology it rendered on the violent clash between the two sides in the Chamber while voting on the E-Levy.

Majority Leader, Osei-Kyei Mensah Bonsu on December 21, 2021, apologised on behalf of the House for their behaviour following condemnations from groups and individuals.

General Secretary of the Christian Council, Rev. Dr. Cyril Fayose, said the Council will back the MPs with prayers to enable them to navigate the controversial E-Levy issue devoid of violent attacks.

He told Nathaniel Nartey that although the Council does not have an official position on the E-Levy, the general consensus among members is that the rate is too high and needs to be reduced.
