The New Juaben North Municipal Assembly performed poorly in the 2021 District Performance Assessment Tool for Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies, MMDAs.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Comfort Asante said the Assembly scored an average of 72% instead of the 84% minimum which is the national average.
She said this at the Third Ordinary Meeting of the Second Session of the Assembly in the Eastern Region.
Madam Asante identified lack of a Lorry Park, Recreation Centres, commitment on the part of some staff and Audit infractions for the past two years as contributory factors to the poor performance.
To break this challenge, Madam Asante said the Assembly will marshal all available resources to pass the 2022 assessment to benefit from the GHC one millions award to develop the Municipality.
