Black Stars head coach Milovan Rajevac has dispelled the growing concern of Ghanaians over the recent injury of midfielder Kudus Mohammed ahead of the AFCON opener on Monday.
The Ajax midfielder picked up a hip injury in his last appearance for Ghana when Black Stars played against South Africa in the Qatar 2022 World Cup which forced the player to out of the team during their preparation in Doha.
The Serbian tactician has alleviated the fears by revealing the availability of the midfield enforcer is to participate in the tournament.
“Mohammed Kudus picked a rib injury against South Africa. He went through treatment and he just started training. Ghana expects him to join the team in a weeks time”.
Kudus’ presence is expected to thicken the team’s midfield as Ghana bid to win her fifth Africa Cup of Nations trophy in Cameroon.
