The Evangelical Presbyterian (EP) Church, Ghana has inducted into office, Rev. Dr. Lawson Dzanku as the new Clerk of the General Assembly of the Church. At the induction ceremony at the Dela Cathedral of the Church in Ho, the Moderator of the General Assembly of the E.P Church, Rev Dr. Lt Colonel (Rtd) Bliss Divine Agbeko charged the newly inducted Clerk to hold on firmly to the word of God and seek his face in all challenges.

Rev Dr. Dzanku who is 52 years old was commissioned as a Pastor of the Church in 2001 and rose through the ranks to be the Synod Moderator of the Central-Western Presbytery of the E.P Church until his election as the Clerk in August last year.
The Moderator of the General Assembly of the E.P Church, Rev Dr. Lt Colonel (Rtd) Bliss Divine Agbeko urged the newly inducted Clerk to work diligently devoid of any manipulation to revive and rebuild the Church. He expressed the hope that the new clerk will be committed to the mission and vision statements of the E.P Church. Rev Dr Agbeko prayed for God’s blessings and mercies for him to succeed.
The newly inducted Clerk, Rev. Dr. Dzanku urged those among the Clergy who bends the rules of the Church to change the narratives bearing in mind the vows taken during their Commissioning and Ordination services.
He pledged to be fair and balanced. Rev. Dzanku also pledged to serve the Church in humility and called for support from the rank and file of the Church to deliver on his mandate.
