Ghana’s Coach Milovan Rajevac has revealed the Black Stars lost concentration in their Group C match against Gabon in the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cameroun.
The Black S tars were held to a 1-1 draw by Gabon who left it late in the 89th minute to splits points with Ghana to end their second Group C game.
“It was a difficult and competitive game. We were supposed to end the match winning, but as in the first game we lost concentration.” Milovan Rajevac said.
Ghana has slim chances of qualifying to the next round of the tournament but coach Rejevac is hopeful Ghana’s next game would be better enough to amass 3 points and possible qualify to the next round.
“I think in the next game we will do better and we will be able to collect the three points to move on to the next stage. We need to stay focused and be strong-minded to move on.” He said.
Ghana’s game against Gabon was an improvement on it’s opening game with Morocco courtesy Ayew’s 19th minute goal in the first half.
Just when Ghana thought the results would end in their favour the Panthers left it late to draw level through substitute Ngowet Allevinah breaking low drive past the keeper to boost Gabon’s chances of a last 16 place.
