A delegation led by the Volta Region Football Association (VRFA) Chairman, Daniel Agbogah, has called on the President of the Ghana Football Association,(GFA) Simon Kurt Okraku at the GFA Secretariat in Accra.
The delegation includes the Regional FA Secretary, Promise Ahiagba and members of the Executive Council, Foster Kudiabor, Innocentia Agbavitor, Atsu Kuadey, Martin Torku, Mark Coffie Serlom and Hamza Mutala.
The purpose was to sympathize with GFA President on the demise of his father, Mr. George Offei Okraku and brief him on the outcome of the meeting with the Volta and Oti caucuses in parliament at the Parliament House in Accra on Wednesday.
The GFA President, who was elated about the call, observed that the Volta FA was the first Regional FA to pay him an official visit to express condolence after the demise of his father.
He also expressed condolences to Regional FA on the loss of the Referee’s Manager, Frank Denakpor, and Development Coach, Christopher Tsumafo, respectively.
He commended the Regional FA for their good works on promoting grassroots football across all districts of the region.
Mr. Okraku encouraged the support for Juvenile Football, adding that plans are far advanced to throw the spotlight on the region through activities of the GFA.
