Madam Nkrumah has commended President Akufo-Addo for his sterling leadership as Chairman of the ECOWAS Authority which has earned Ghana an enviable spot in the sub-region. Interacting with the President at the Jubilee House where she formally announced her resignation, Madam Josephine Nkrumah assured the President of working hard to distinguish herself in her new position.
”Following that conversation, certain processes have gone on, and as we speak, I just offered my letter of acceptance to ECOWAS to be the ECOWAS Ambassador to Liberia.
“As the father of the land and appointing authority, I deemed it necessary to come and see you and officially tender my resignation, which will take effect on April 30,” she said.
President Akufo-Addo congratulated the outgoing NCCE Boss and promised to support her to succeed in her new role.
“This is a job that you are going to go into to bring credit to yourself and to us, your country Ghana. So, I have to wish you the very best. It comes at a time when I am also the ECOWAS Chair so we are there. If there is any problem in the course of your tenure as ECOWAS ambassador you know you can always count on us to step in,” President Akufo Addo stated.
Madam Nkrumah has been prominent in advocating proper civic responsibilities among the Ghanaian populace, asking all to demonstrate civic consciousness to change the Ghanaian society for the better.
