Ghana Card woes; No card received after registration 3 years ago

The nationwide make-up exercise for collection and registration for the Ghana Card does not appear to be a smooth one.

For collectors and those doing a new registration.

But the district officer in charge of Amasaman Ghana Card Office Madam Gifty Nkansah Twaiah says her handling of issues ranging from collection of cards, new registration, correcting of errors on cards has been a smooth one.

According to Madam Gifty, clients are to be booked for collections of old and new cards to avoid overcrowding in the office.

Clients at the Amasaman Office of the Ghana Card have expressed their displeasure at the processing of collecting and registration of new cards.

GBC News’ visit to the Amasaman Office to ascertain the situation was met with scores of clients who had been in the queue since 4am.

Others complained about not having their cards after completing the registration process three years ago.

District Registration Officer Gifty Nkansah Tawiah however believes that all is well because, ”a booking strategy is in place”, to avoid overcrowding.
