Technical University Teachers Association of Ghana gets new Executives

The Technical University Teachers Association of Ghana, TUTAG, has sworn in new executives to steer the affairs of the group for the next two years.  The ceremony took place during the Association’s 42nd National Delegates Congress in Kumasi under the theme, “Sustaining the Momentum for Parity of Prestige: The Way Forward”.

The handing over ceremony paved the way for the newly elected national executives to steer the affairs of the Technical University Teachers Association of Ghana, TUTAG for a period of two years as enshrined in the national constitution while bringing relevant research and policy direction into the activities of technical education in the country.

The members are Engineer Dr. Collins Ameyaw, President, Professor Felix Engmann, Vice President, Dr. Abubakari Zakari, General Secretary, Dr. Abdul-Aziz Iddrisu, Financial Secretary and Dr. Christian Narh Opata, Organizing Secretary. The immediate past National President of TUTAG, Dr. Michael Akurugu Brigandi commended members for their support for the past executives and called for the same support for the newly sworn in National Executives. He highlighted some pressing issues that engage the attention of the new executives.

The National President, Engineer Dr. Collins Ameyaw said the new leadership is very much aware of the current challenges confronting Technical Universities and will serve well in advancing the course of Technical University Education in Ghana.
