Non-Teaching Staff of Colleges of Education call off strike

Members of the Colleges of Education Non-Teaching Staff Association of Ghana, CENTSAG, have called off their strike which started on Monday, April 11, 2022. This was after a meeting with the National Labour Commission, NLC, and the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission Wednesday, April 13, 2022.

The Association among other things is demanding for the correction of wrong placement of First Degree Holders, Non-payment of migration arrears and non-payment of Interim Market Premium Arrears.

President of the Colleges of Education Non-Teaching Staff Association of Ghana, Frederick Forkuo Yeboah, said the National Council has decided to call off the strike which has been declared illegal by the NLC, as it awaits further deliberations with the Ghana Tertiary Education Council GTEC, Fair Wages and Salaries Commission and then the NLC.
