Quarter finals matches of Women’s FA Cup matches were honoured at various centres. Eight teams sought out to grasp a slot in the semi-finals of the FA Cup. 6 premier side and 2 division side competed in 4 matches.
Ghana Women’s FA Cup defending champions Hasaacas Ladies have qualified to the semi-finals of the 2021/2022 season. The defending champions faced a tough challenge against Kumasi Sports Academy. After both teams drew 1-1 in 90 minutes, the game went into penalties. The CAF Women’s Champions League finalists won 3-2 on penalties to grab one of the 4 slots available in the next stage of the competition.
Meanwhile, last year’s FA Cup finalists Ampem Darkoa crushed out Police Ladies at the Achimota park in Accra. The travellers won 2-0 against the home side to proceed to the next stage of the competition.
In other matches, Volta regional division side Anlo ladies were buttered 7-0 by premier league Army Ladies in the Volta region while Fosu Royal Ladies lost 4-1 to Ashtown Ladies.
Unfortunately, the last two division sides crushed out of the competition. Hasaacas Ladies, Ampem Darkoa Ladies, Ashtown Ladies and Army Ladies have all booked a place in the semi-finals awaiting the draw to know who will be they will be contending with.
