Highlife/Afrobeats Artiste KiDi has been crowned the Artiste of the Year at the 2022 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
The 28-year-old beat Black Sheriff, King Promise, Kuami Eugene, Sarkodie and Joe Mettle to emerge the topmost winner for the night at the VGMA23.
The Lynx Entertainment Signee has undoubtedly worked harder to claim this feat, last year, he made a statement on stage, ‘I’ll be back’ and indeed he came back with a win.

KiDi was also one of the biggest winners on the night, scooping five awards.
They include Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year (Touch It), Vodafone Most Popular Song (Touch It), Album of the Year (The Golden Boy) and the Afrobeats Artiste of the Year.
Not forgetting, ‘Kwaku The Traveller’ singer, Black Sherif who for the first time at the VGMA grabs two awards as the Best New Artiste and the Hip-hop Song of the Year award.
Sefa also took home the Best Afrobeat Song of the year award with the song ‘Echoke’.
