Some parts of the capital, Accra were flooded following the heavy downpour on the hours of Saturday, May 14, 2022
The places which suffered the annual ritual are parts of Kaneshie in Accra and Tema.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Metrological Agency in a statement early Saturday Morning warned that “Cloudiness is expected over most parts of the country this morning with pockets of rain over southern Ghana. Breaks of sunshine will be experienced later.
“Afternoon to evening rains are expected over parts of the middle and northern sectors.” It said.
“CLOUDINESS IS EXPECTED OVER MOST PARTS OF THE COUNTRY THIS MORNING WITH POCKETS OF RAIN OVER SOUTHERN GHANA. BREAKS OF SUNSHINE WILL BE EXPERIENCED LATER. AFTERNOON TO EVENING RAINS ARE EXPECTED OVER PARTS OF THE MIDDLE AND NORTHERN SECTORS.” — Ghana Meteo. Agency (@GhanaMet) May 14, 2022.
