Koforidua Local Prisons at Effiduase takes income generation to Regimental Dance Band

The Koforidua Local Prisons at Effiduase in the Eastern Regional capital has launched a Regimental and Dance Band in order to entertain the public during functions as well as generate income for the station.

The Eastern Regional Commander of the Prisons Service, Deputy Director of Prisons, DDP, Samuel Owusu Amponsah speaking during the launch urged the Officers in the band to stay committed.
 
He advised Security Officers in the region and the country as a whole to do everything within their capacity to promote peace and civility.
 
DDP Owusu Amponsah reiterated that the establishment of the bands will enable the station and its Officers to discharge their role of keeping the safety, welfare, reformation and rehabilitation of inmates in their custody effectively and efficiently.
 
He further pledged his unrelenting support to the bands.
 
The Officer-In-Charge, OIC, of the Koforidua Local Prisons Station, Assistant Director of Prisons, ASP, Christopher Hayibor said ”establishing a Koforidua Local Prisons, is a dream come true”.
