Jordan Ayew's double seals win for Ghana against Ethiopia

The Black Stars of Ghana defeated their Ethiopian countetparts 2 – 0 in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier played at the Addis Ababa Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Two first half goals from Crystal Palace striker Jordan Ayew secured all three pionts for the Black Stars as they have now accumulated six pionts from three matches.

The Black Stars started the game in blisterring fashion and mounted pressure on the Walias defence in the opening minutes.

Ayew gave Ghana the lead on the fourth minutes mark with beautiful strike after some good play by the Stars around the Ethiopia goal area.

The Black Stars dominated the game with some delightful possesive play, after the lead.

The Black Stars were awarded a penalty on the 24th minute mark after Emmanuel Boateng was brought down by Ethiopia goalkeeper.

Ayew stepped up and doubled the lead for the Black Stars as the Ethiopians were left stunned.

Meanwhile, prior to the match, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo visited the team, to urged them to go for victory in their 2019 AFCON qualifier against Ethiopia.
