The Accra-Tema Motorway is a 19km stretch linking Ghana’s eastern and western corridors and was opened to traffic in 1965. Primarily, it was to link the harbour city of Tema to Accra. The highway has now become a death trap on account of accidents that have occurred there and the dangerous practices by commuters. GBC24 has a report on this.
