Three persons have been shot dead in renewed clashes in the Bawku Municipality of the Upper East Region.
The fighting between the Mamprusis and Kusasis broke out on Monday, August 15, when a passenger car from Bolgatanga travelling to Bawku was attacked.
In an interview with GBC NEWS, the Upper East Regional Minister, Stephen Yakubu, expressed surprise at the incident because there has been relative peace in the area lately.
He called for calm and assured the public that the perpetrators would be brought to book.
