President Akufo-Addo has emphasised that renewable energy is an answer to poverty eradication, improved livelihoods and a catalyst for socio-economic development.
The President made the observation when he commissioned the Kaleo Solar Power Plant on the second leg of his two-day duty tour of the Upper West Region.
President Akufo-Addo earlier inspected the progress of work at the Wa Shopping Centre and made a stop-over at Issa, the capital of Daffiama-Bussie-Issa, to inspect an Agenda 111 project.
