CAF Women’s Champions League Qualifiers: Ampem Darkoa Wins Opener Against USFA

Ghana’s Women Premier League Champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies thumbed USFA of Burkina Faso 3-0 in the ongoing CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers in Yamoussoukro.
Elizabeth Owusu opened score with a header in the 10th minute before Constance Serwaa’s low cross from the left finds the back of the net via a USFA defender in the 40th to end the first half with an emphatic 2-0 lead.

Substitute Mavis Owusu added the 3rd goal in the 89th minute to give Ampem Darkoa 3 points and 3 goals.
Meanwhile, Constance Serwaa was awarded player of the match.
Ampem Darkoa will contend with Nigeria Women’s Premier League champions Bayelsa Queens on Wednesday 24th August 2022.
They will conclude the group stage matches against Athleta FC on Saturday 27th August. In other matches, Bayelsa Queens thrashed Atleta FC 5-0.
Ampem Darkoa who are representing Ghana in Group B alongside USFA, Bayelsa Queens, and Athleta Fc.
The winner as well as runner up will make it to the second edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League in Morocco.
Ghana’s Hasaacas Ladies made it to the finals of the maiden edition of the tournament in Egypt.
