The Founder and Chairman of KABAKA Foundation, who doubles as the Kwahu Nkwatia Nkosuohene, Nana Owiredu Wadie I, has admonished all Ghanaians to develop the habit of giving to the needy and less privileged in society.

According to him, the best way of impacting the lives of people is by supporting them in any way that will put a smile on their faces.

He said this when celebrating his birthday with more than 500 street hawkers from the Okponglo, Shiashie, at the Under-bridge Traffic Lights in Accra where he sought to bring a smile to the faces of hawkers.

The Kabaka Foundation aims to focus on helping improve education, health, social interventions, cultural presentations, economic employment, and support for Persons with disabilities, poor and needy persons in society.

The foundation has offered a wide range of support for individuals and groups across the country.

Nana Owiredu Wadie I stressed that those on the street also need love, as he urged Ghanaians with the financial power to also try and support those people.

He added that such acts also amount to giving back to society, which he says was his main aim in embarking on such an exercise to support the people.

Also, the Executive Director of the Kabaka Foundation, Henry Kwaku Nyanteh Larbi, also noted that the foundation thought it wise to support those on the street, as he says, it also forms part of their social responsibilities and giving back to the community.

He stressed that they do not want to leave everything to the government, which believes it overburdens the state, thus their quest to support those on the street, as he called on others to emulate what Kabaka Foundation has done.

Finally, some of the hawkers who benefited from the Kabaka Foundation’s kind gesture expressed their gratitude for what was done for them and encouraged others to do the same.
