The 2022 Basic Education Certificate Examination Candidates in the Ejisu Municipality of the Ashanti Region, have received free mathematical sets ahead of their examination, which began on Monday October 17, 2022.
The gesture was made possible by a former Managing Director of the Electricity Company of Ghana, Ing Kwame Agyemang Budu to motivate the candidates.
Razak Baba and Francis Abedi report that three thousand 249 pupils from 52 public Junior High schools within the Ejisu Municipality of the Ashanti region are expected to sit the Basic Education Certificate Examination this year, scheduled to take place from Monday, 17th to Friday 21st of this month.
As a form of motivation for the candidates, a former Managing Director of the Electricity Company of Ghana, Ing. Kwame Agyemang Budu provided each of them with a mathematical set.
The donation, which cost 330,000 Ghana Cedis was presented to the Municipal Directorate of Education at a ceremony at Ejisu. Ing. Kwame Agyemang Budu explained the rationale for the gesture.
The Ejisu Municipal Director of Education, Mr. Kwabena Owusu said the materials have come at an opportune time as it will provide some relief to the Candidates. He had some advice for the Candidates.
