The Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, GBC, has picked five awards at the just ended 2021 Ghana Journalists Association, GJA, Awards held at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City in Accra.
Three of the Awards went to journalists of the Corporation.
They are Mavis Offei, Features, Radio. Peggy Ama Donkor Features TV and Beatrice Senadju, Domestic Tourism.
GBC was recognised for its constant reports on issues concerning persons with disability.
Obonu FM, a radio station under GBC also picked an award for one of its flagship programme in Ga.
The programme educates communities on various issues.
Obonu FM is the regional station for the indigenous people of Ga –Dangme community.
It was started on 1st July 2001 in studio A of GBC in Accra and was later relocated to Tema in July 2005.
