The National Democratic Congress NDC, says it is determined to win back all the Parliamentary seats it lost to the ruling New Patriotic Party, NPP in the Northern region, during the 2020 general elections.
Until recently, the NDC dominated elections in Northern Region and still retains the majority in terms of absolute number of vote. But the ruling NPP has made significant gains in the 2016 and 2020 elections and now shares the Parliamentary seats in the region with the NDC as both parties hold nine seats each.
The National Chairman of the NDC, Ofosu Ampofo in a media interaction at the ongoing Regional Delegates Conference in Tamale, emphasized the need to come out of the election united and stronger.
He urged delegates to vote for competent people and not allow financial inducement to influence them.
“Our determination is to ensure that, we recover all the lost grounds and occupy our rightful place in the Northern region,” Mr. Ofosu Ampofo stressed.
