Leader of Heaven Way Church, Patricia Asiedua popularly known as Nana Agrada has failed to meet her varied bail condition granted her by an Accra Circuit Court.

On November 11, Judge Samuel Bright Acquah reviewed the earlier bail condition for Nana Agradaa. She was initially admitted to bail in the sum of ¢50,000 with three sureties who should be civil servants earning not less than ¢2,000.

In addition, she was to report to the Police every Wednesday.

For the reviewed bail conditions, the court increased the bail sum to ¢100,000 with five sureties who must be residents of Accra and also own businesses in the capital. Nana Agradaa today appeared before another Circuit Court presided over by Evelyn Asamoah.

The Prosecutor, DSP Sylvester Asare, indicated that she is still in lawful custody because of her inability to meet the reviewed bail condition in the other court.

The court ordered the prosecution to file all disclosures by December 8, 2022  and adjourned to December 15, 2022, for Case Management Conference.

Nana Agradaa is alleged to have engaged in money-doubling scam and has been charged with charlatanic advertisement and defrauding by false pretences.

She has however pleaded not guilty to the charges. Nana Agradaa is alleged to have demanded and received huge sums of money from some persons under the pretext of doubling the same for them.

DSP Asare said preliminary investigations have established that on October 5, Nana Agradaa advertised on television and other social media platforms that she was capable of doubling money. He said based on that claim, she allegedly received various sums of money from the complainants to double but failed to do so.
