The stage has been set for another elimination stage at the Qatar 2022 World Cup. A step further to naming the Champions of the world.
After 3 round of matches in 8 groups, half of the countries have been sieved out for not being good enough or lady luck not shining on them.
The host Qatar failed to win any match but their only silver lining was Muhammad Muntari’s header which became their first ever FIFA World Cup goal. They hold the unfortunate record as the first country to host the Mundial and failed to grab any point in the group stage.
Valencia Enner’s prospects for Ecuador could but only give them four points to take them back to Quito. Meanwhile, Iran, Wales were eliminated from Group B.
After pulling a world shocker by winning against Argentina, Saudi Arabia unfortunately joined Mexico to exit the competition in Doha.
The World Champions France after winning two matches qualified for the next stage. Australia needed just three points to take them to the next stage of the competition as a result Denmark and Tunisia had to be sent home.
For the second time in a row, Germany were kicked out from the group stage alongside Costa Rica on goal difference.
Morocco shocked the World by topping group F alongside Croatia. Brazil Switzerland, Portugal and South Korea joined the teams in the next stage of the competition.
GTVSports+ will begin the round of 16 with the late kick-off between Argentina and Australia.
