Executives of Assemblies of God, Ghana commend GBC for leadership role in Ghana’s Broadcasting industry

Executives of the Assemblies of God, Ghana, have commended the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation for its Public service role in National Development.

The members led by the General Supt. of the Executive Presbytery of the church, Rev. Stephen Wengam on Thursday paid a courtesy call on Management of GBC to introduce its new executives and find new ways to collaborate with the GBC.

The Courtesy call was to introduce the new leadership of the Church to the Corporation, discuss matters of national interest, and seek areas of collaboration towards national development. The General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev Stephen Wengam, commended the State Broadcaster for its role in National development.

The Director General of Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, Prof. Amin Alhassan, congratulated the new leadership and the Assemblies of God Ghana for their contribution towards the development of Ghana.

Assemblies of God, Ghana is the first Pentecostal church to start radio broadcast and it began on GBC’s Radio Ghana as a platform to promote the gospel across the country. It has a membership of about 7 hundred thousand across the country. 

Globally, the Church has 70 million members, making it the largest Pentecostal denomination in the world.
