The leadership of the National Union of Ghana Students, NUGS, has maintained that any attempt to increase fees above 15 percent in Public Universities will not only amount to contempt of Court but will be fiercely resisted by the student body. Speaking to GBC News ahead of its intended meeting with

Ghana Tertiary Education Commission, G-TEC, the President of the Union, Dennis Appiah Larbi-Ampofo, stressed that the proposed fee increment be suspended in order not to compound the problems faced by students in the Universities.

Mr. Larbi-Ampofo further charged the Government to improve the finances of GETFund and Students Loan Trust Fund to bring relief to students.
