Morocco’s national football team is currently at Rabat airport awaiting authorisation from Algeria to travel to that country to participate in CHAN. The President of FIFA and that of CAF have just arrived at Rabat airport.
Previously, information circulated on the media concerning Morocco’s withdrawal from Chan, without however cross-checking or verifying this information.
Morocco, reigning champion of the African Nations Championships (CHAN), is determined to participate in the CHAN to defend its title. The team is now at Rabat-Sale airport, awaiting authorisation from Algeria to fly directly to Constantine.
Algiers, in its blind policy of hostility to the Kingdom, mixes politics and sport to prevent Moroccan team from taking part in this sporting event, a source from Morocco said.
