Mr Fitness GH donates FIFA certified sports equipment to Alma mater

Leonard Akoto, popularly known as Mr. Fitness GH, has donated FIFA-certified sports equipment to his Alma mater, Tsito Secondary Technical School in the Ho West of the Volta region. The donation is among other things expected to improve the school’s sports infrastructure and help further boost its known performances in sporting activities.

The founder of the Leonardo Foundation, a non-profit organisation that aims to promote physical fitness and wellbeing among Ghanaians and is popularly known as Mr. Fitness Gh, Mr. Akoto, was the sports prefect of Tsito Senior High Technical School, located in the Ho West District of the Volta region.

The donation is among others to help boost the school’s sports sporting infrastructure and programs. The donated items include cones, sport squad speed hurdles, sports agility ladders, footballs, volleyballs, and handballs, among others.

Speaking at the donation ceremony, Mr. Akoto expressed his joy at being able to give back to his alma mater.

“I am honoured to be able to make this donation to Tsito Secondary Technical School, which played such a crucial role in shaping who I am today,” he said.

“This is the place that I build my foundation, and we all know without the foundation, your building can never last. So I built my foundation here. Not building only the foundation, but building with discipline, hard work, and determination,” he added while encouraging students to be studious.

The Assistant Headmaster of the School in charge of academics, Mr. Emmanuel Alegbe, also expressed his gratitude for the donation, saying that it will have a significant impact on the school’s sporting fortunes.

“We are extremely grateful to Mr. Akoto and the Leonardo Foundation for this generous donation. These equipment will help to motivate and inspire our students, and we look forward to seeing them achieve great things in the years to come.”

The donation comes ahead of the school’s 2023 homecoming anniversary, which promises to be a momentous occasion for the school and its alumni.

Tsito Senior High Technical School, founded about 30 years ago, has a rich history of producing talented sportsmen and women.
