GBC round off Ghana Month with fun games, cooking competition

The Ghana Broadcasting Corporation has climaxed the month-long celebration of Ghana’s culture, expressed in various ways including dance forms, art, food and cooking methods, products and services. The event featured local games and a cooking competition.

The month of March has been dedicated to the celebration and promotion of Ghana’s heritage. It is purposefully observed to ignite a sense of patriotism among citizens and encourage the use of locally produced products on the Ghanaian market.

At the forecourt of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, the climax of the celebration featured indigenous games including oware, ludo, skipping rope, cards, draught, sack racing, lime and spoon, cooking competition and eating competition. Mr. Solomon Boye was the Chairman of the Sports Committee for the event.

He said besides, eat Ghana, Wear Ghana etc….GBC has added ”Play Ghana”, to lay emphasis on the importance of wellness through outdoor activities.

At the end of the competition, Obonu TV emerged the best cooking pot among six other competitors representing different departments at GBC. The winners shared their moments and said it was a moment to behold.

Three judges explained the criteria for choosing the winner in the cooking competition and commended participants.

Other winners also received trophies for their efforts.
