The Anglican Church of Ghana has held a Birthday Service for President Akufo-Addo to mark his 79th Celebration. The short ceremony held at the Auditorium of the Jubilee House was attended by first lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo, Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Opare and some Ministers of State.
The Officiating Minister Anglican Bishop Asante-Mampong, Most Rev Dr. Cyril Kobina Ben-Smith admonished President Akufo-Addo to continue leaning on God as he endeavors to find lasting solutions to the many challenges bedeviling the country.
President Akufo-Addo turned 79 on Thursday 29th March, 2023. On that day he was in New York, USA attending a United Nations Security Council meeting.
It was all joy when President Akufo-Addo stepped out of the Foyer of the Jubilee House to the happy birthday tune by the Standby Choir.
Speaking at a special Anglican Church Birthday Service for President Akufo-Addo, at the Jubilee House, Most Rev. Dr. Ben-Smith called on the President to continue to look up to “Him”, to continue to lean on ‘Him’ and continue to listen to ‘Him’.
He underscored the need to be obedient and offer ourselves wholly and unconditionally for direction and favor.
The Most Rev. prayed for God’s continued protection for the President, especially in these difficult times
President Akufo-Addo was joined by his wife, Rebecca and the Vice President to cut his 79th Birthday cake.
