Ghana Statistical Service (GSS), Statistics Denmark, the Environmental Protection Agency, Ghana have held a week-long workshop in Accra to identify activities that enhance and mitigate against the green agenda as well as the expenditures involved.

The workshop focused on how data can be collected from the commercial and business sectors to enhance the identification of goods and service activities related to the green transition.

Ultimately, this will assist policymakers in identifying solutions that can protect the environment in Ghana.

Staff from Statistics Denmark shared their experience in the area of Green Goods and Services, with reference to the first Danish data collection exercise in 2014.

This workshop will improve Ghana’s drive towards a better foundation for the green agenda and environmental protection.

It is part of the thematic areas under the Strategic Sector Cooperation on Statistics between GSS and Statistics Denmark.
