The National Democratic Congress, NDC, has asked the Police to reconsider its valuation of Bryan Acheampong’s comment and expedite action on the case as it did in cases involving other political parties.
The NDC National Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi, said this in a statement after the leadership of the party met with the Police.
The NDC disagreed with the position of the Police that the inflammatory and incendiary comments made by Bryan Acheampong to the effect that the New Patriotic Party will not hand-over power to the NDC in 2025, did not pass the test of criminality.
The statement asked the Police to review their stance on Bryan Acheampong’s unsavory comments and urged the law enforcement agency to act on this matter with the speed with which they acted in apprehending and prosecuting other political actors for making similar statements in recent times.
