Engineering Construction Experts from Germany and members of the German Armed Forces Technical Advisory Group (GAFTAG) has paid a courtesy call on the General Officer Commanding Northern Command, Brigadier General M Essien on Tamale.
The visit was in line with GAFTAG’s infrastructure, logistics, and training support to GAF. The GAFTAG delegation visited the site for the construction of the 3 Field Workshop to assess and evaluate the project to ensure that it ls construction meets international standards. The team also inspected the Multi-National Joint Task Force (MNJTF) Headquarters for Operation Enhanced Koudanlgou co-located with the Headquarters of the Northern Command in Nyohini, Tamale.
The leader of the delegation, Lieutenant Colonel B Frei expressed his profound appreciation to the GAF and GOC for the bilateral engagement between both countries. He lauded GAF’s commitment and partnership with GAFTAG, adding that they were willing to continue supporting GAF.
Brigadier General M. Essien commended GAFTAG for their immense support and also appealed to the delegation to continue to strengthen existing ties. He reiterated the importance of sustainment, which is key to the success of any military operation.
