Pupils of Kwadwo Nkansah M/A Basic School in the Kwahu West Municipality of the Eastern Region have made a passionate appeal to the government through their Member of Parliament, Joseph Frimpong, and the Municipal Chief Executive, Lawyer Yaw Owusu Addo, to help construct their school block, which was destroyed by a heavy rainstorm some months ago, forcing the pupils to study under trees.

In an interview with the media, the pupils noted that during the course of the week, one of their colleagues got bitten by a snake that fell from one of the trees that they were studying under, but the swift intervention by the Headteacher who sent the child to the hospital, saved the life of their friend.

The Chairman of the Parents-Teachers Association, Andrew Santro, said the school authorities have reported the situation to the MCE, Lawyer Yaw Owusu Addo, and the MP for the area, Joseph Frimpong, which they came for inspection, yet nothing has been done about the situation.

Mr. Santro, therefore, made a passionate appeal to them, the central government, and the old students of the school to come to their aid. He also pleaded with their MCE and the MP to expedite action in completing the three-unit classroom block they started about four years ago, which has been abandoned.

Some parents also appealed to the government to, as a matter of urgency, turn their focus on building a modern unit classroom block for their wards to have the same quality education as their fellows in urban areas.
