Another building disaster which is said to have occurred at Nanakrom, a suburb in the Adentan Municipality in the Greater Accra region has claimed one life.
The deceased is reported to have died after being trapped under rubble following the collapse of a three-story building at Nanakrom.
This incident comes barely a week after a similar occurrence at Madina in the La-Nkantanan-Madina Municipality also in the Greater Accra region.
The latest incident which occurred in the evening of Thursday, May 4, 2023, also left one person with injuries.
Speaking in an interview with the press, the Municipal Chief Executive Officer (MCE) for Adentan, Mr. Alexander Nii Noi Adumuah hinted that the injured person has been sent to the hospital for treatment.
According to him, personnel of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) managed to pull out the deceased on Friday, May 5, 2023 hours after tracking the victim.
The MCE for Adentan Municipality announced that personnel from the Ghana Police Service have commenced investigations into the incident.
