The Asogli Traditional Council is set to hold a ceremony to outdoor, its newly installed chiefs, queens, and linguists to steer the affairs of the paramountcy. The event scheduled for Saturday, June 10, at the Palace Forecourt of the Asogli State will also witness the installation of a new paramount stool father for the area.

Speaking at a press conference in Ho, the Public Relations Officer of the Asogli Traditional Council, Anthony Nyalemegbe, said the directive from the Paramount Chief of the area, Togbe Afede, precedes his 20th coronation anniversary as the overlord of Asogli, which comes off in August this year. He indicated that the ceremony has become necessary in order to replace the departed chiefs, queens, and linguists for the smooth running of its affairs.

He said that as customs and tradition demand, the traditional authorities of Bankoe, a suburb of Ho, have confined nine deserving individuals to the various traditional positions. He added that two others, a chief and a queen, will also be elevated to different traditional positions. Mr. Nyalemegbe said Ametsitsie Christian Kwasi Akpo will also be installed as the new stool father for Togbe Afede, adding that the stool father’s position has become vacant since the demise of the late stool father, Francis Akpo, in 2018.

Mr. Nyalemegbe has therefore called on the people of the Asogli Traditional Area and the public to grace the event on Saturday to witness its rich culture and tradition.
