The Ghana Statistical Service (GSS), has encouraged all businesses to participate in this year’s Integrated Business Establishment Survey (IBES).

The survey seeks to capture all forms of businesses: informal, formal, structured, unstructured, those operating under shed, mobile, online, and virtual.

The move is to update the business register for industrial, academic, and policy purposes.

According to the Coordinator of IBES, Anthony Kraka, “Evidence-based data will guide policy decisions as well as help businesses.”

He was speaking at the Ghana 2023 IBES Consultative in Accra.

Mr. Kraka said that despite the GSS being backed by law to compel people to give data, it will use persuasive means to collect data from business people.
