Customers of Cash Cow and Safe Cash microfinance company Limited have been left stranded as their regular money collector has eloped with huge lumps of money.
Cash cow and Safe Cash microfinance company has been hit with a scandal as their long serving worker, identified only by the name Richard has gone missing with customers money.
The two microfinance institutions, owned by the 2020 National Democratic Congress Parliamentary candidate for the Amasaman Constituency, Sedem Afenyo is located at Kuntunse Satellite in the Ga West Municipal Assembly in Accra.
Customers of these embattled institutions are petty traders and owners of SMEs within the catchment area of the institution. They save through the payment of susu and sometimes access loan facilities that help them run their business successfully
According to the stranded customers who save at the two institutions, moneys summing up to over GH¢ 30,000, have grown wings together with the collector. This they further explained that, has shocked some of the customers with others hospitalised.
They further indicated that they are calm amidst this scandal because, over the long years they have been saving with the two microfinance institutions, this is the first time such a thing is happening and the plans made by the C.E.O to refund their money to them is quite encouraging and they hope things get better.
Investigations reveal that, all efforts made by the customers who built mutual relationship with the run away collector to locate him, have proved futile and his actions have affected the employment status of his colleagues in the office as well.
