Logos-Rhema Foundation for Leadership Resource Development has organised a training for leaders this year.
The programme was organised by the College of Transformation and Sustainable Development (COSTRAD).
Dubbed COSTRAD Leadership Training 2023, most Pastors highly patronised the programme and Reverend Ministers across the African continent.
Founding President and International Director of the Logos-Rhema Foundation for Leadership Resource Development, Dr. Abu Bako, in an interview with Nation 1 TV said the programme is designed to build mental infrastructure, which is needed for mental development.
He said this training is necessary to teach in the participants the mindset transformation necessary for sustainable societal growth.
According to him, the four-week training programme focused on addressing the problems in our societies and countries. The course covered family development, economic affairs, governance and leadership, education, media and communication, arts, sports, and culture.
He reiterated that the areas of study were carefully selected to guide participants towards a sustainable society where people will think and offer the best solutions to societal problems.
Dr. Bako also advised educators to focus on helping people discover what they have as people to contribute to their society. He again urged educators to learn and broaden their horizons based on what God has deposited in them.
Pastor Hannah Mijoya from Malawi, who participated in the programme, disclosed that the training has satisfied her quest to get such knowledge and that she could not hide her joy in participating.
She admitted to having learned a lot from the course and pledged to make good use of the knowledge for the development of the family and her country as a whole.
Pastor Hannah Mijoya pleaded with the organisers to extend the time for the training for more engagement between facilitators and participants. She proposed that the content for the training could be used as a course in the university and awarded a baccalaureate for it. She believes graduates from this course will exhibit high mental acumen in all spheres of life for proper societal growth.
Rev. Morris M. Yeedoun, an international missionary from Liberia who is currently working in Cote d’Ivoire, opined that the training is tailored to prepare them for deployment in various countries in Africa. He said countries in Africa need people who have acquired such knowledge to help in the development of their various countries.
He asserted that the systems in African nations—family, politics, beliefs, mindset, arts, culture, and what have you—can be transformed with training programmes like this.
