Former Ghanaian Sanitation and Water Resources Minister, Cecilia Abena Dapaah has been placed under arrest by the Office of the Special Prosecutor of Ghana pending some questioning by officers of the Special Prosecutor.
A press statement signed by the Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng on Monday, July 24, 2023, said Madam Abena Dapaah’s arrest was in line with “suspected corruption and corruption related offences regarding large amounts of money and other valuable items reportedly stolen from her residence”.
The OSP’s statement said she was placed under arrest at 11:55 GMT.
