Felix Kwakye Fosu has rallied to Former President Mahama‘s defense in criticisms of New Producer price for Cocoa

Mr. Kwakye Ofosu has also been defending former President Mahama’s criticism of the almost 70 percent increase in the producer price of cocoa.

The government announced that farmers will now be paid ₵130 per bag of cocoa, up from the current ₵80.

But in a Facebook post, the former President said the increase was woefully inadequate.

According to him, what the farmers are being offered is just about 52 percent of the price of the commodity on the international market.
